Appearance doesn’t matter,said she,

A person is truly not what you see

Attitude,heart,a soul and mind ,

Qualities that leave wealth behind

Innocence,beauty,and being natural inside,

A mind full of thoughts with nothing to hide

A personality of kindness, courage and heart,

Carries bonds of benevolence that cannot fall apart

These are qualities in people we see everyday,

In judgement,we often get carried away

She said ‘I can confidently say, without any doubt,

That we all have a history which we think about?

Of us judging and shaping people’s lives,

We put their emotions and feelings aside.

A loud murmur arose from the crowd,

Everyone agreed,it couldn’t be allowed

And when they went back,on their ride home

The feeling of guilt wouldn’t leave them alone

And that day,they did discover

To never judge a book by its cover

I gasped

And looked around

The room? Blurry

I was lying down

On a table or bed of some sort

Two metal rods ran parallel on

Either side of the bed

My clothes felt light

Hospital robes

I was in an operating room

There was nobody there

Just me

And the tools that cut me open

No sign of life.

I slowly arose my

Legs still on the table

The floor was cold

I stumbled to the door

And dragged my foot

It was dead weight

The light behind the door

More surgical tables

A corridor

A reception desk

I was still standing at the door

Not knowing what to do

I took a left

Another door

I opened it

Ah,the main room

Where the patients entered

And exited

There was a staircase

And there were people

Familiar people

I saw the loved ones

I saw the hurt ones

And thats all I saw

I asked why I was here

They told me I was dead

They told me this was afterlife

I looked around

A hospital isn’t a suitable place

I prayed

I believed I wasn’t dead

There were people

With Hope

Who were waiting for me

I was sitting in the chasm of Death

I sat down

My back against the wall

And then He spoke

Take a chance,He said

Take a chance while you have one

A moment with your beloved is all you will get,

If you stay here

I did not know who He was,

But I trusted him

I was going to thank Him

He had disappeared

I sat in silence, not knowing what to do

Then the ground trembled

Thats why I was here

An earthquake

The tables shook

The floor caved in

I fell

The pit was deep

But the pit was never there

Then light

I opened my eyes

I was alive.

Childhood Memories

The ghosts of our past that always haunt us,

Challenges that constantly taunt us

Memories which never last

Times which go by so fast

Moments that freeze in time,

Lines that never seem to rhyme

Bright clouds which never thunder

Minds which never stop to wonder

Windows with a gruesome view,

Friendships that aren’t right for you

Small impressions that last forever,

People with no want or endeavour

Lessons which drive you ahead

Words you wish you never said

A list of regrets that never end, however

The memories of childhood last forever

Flowers of the same garden

All of us,we are flowers of  one garden

Different in shapes,sizes and colours

We are wealthy, or poor

Tall,short,fat or thin

But what difference does it make?

Are we not born on the same earthen soil?

Do we not bathe in the moonlight of one moon,

Or bask under one sun

We are brought up the same way,

Personalities are to be different

Our attitude is different

But think of the similarities

We all are living beings

We all have feelings,so why hurt them?

Why is wealth more important than kinds of heart?

Why has appearance changed quality?

The flower might be dry, worn down, and dirty,

But inside,it might mean a lot to someone

We have sprouted out of a seed,of both good and evil,

The struggle of the better one will remain relentless,

Neither one can live without another,

But that is no reason to reflect it on one another

After all,we are the same people

It may not be from the outside,or on the inside either,

After all,at the end of the day

We are players of the same game,

Humans of the same earth

And flowers of the same garden.flowerz

Silver Linings

‘Too many people miss the silver lining, because they’re expecting gold’

-Maurice Setter

Every difficult situation in life has a reason behind it, and a more hopeful aspect. There is always a light at the end of a tunnel; just as there are good days behind every bad one. In hate, love can be found. People are often misunderstood, because we expect perfection from them. When we stop expecting people to be perfect, we can like them for who they are. ’Sometimes it’s the people who no one imagines of who do the things no one can imagine’. It’s the imperfections of life that lead to happiness. We should not lose heart in hard times, because just as we are about to quit, victory reveals itself. The thick clouds of sorrow and disappointed hopes obscure  our vision, and the storm may toss us around, scare us,soak us to the bone, but it will not last forever. But if we look at the clouds carefully,we can see the edges are tinted with rays of hope. As time passes, the sky will clear, the storm will fade, and a radiant rainbow of prosperity will come shining through. Happiness always lurks behind the darkest hour. Whenever there is darkness, bright light will be nearby. We are often busy looking for a perfect outcome and we miss all the smaller, wonderful outcomes that come along the way. Our expectations drive our perceptions of life. We set up high expectations, but we is just setting ourselves for a disappointment. There’s no harm in dreaming big, but watch out for the small things in bad times. They’re the ones that help the most!

valerie-inertie+2A first step,

A big leap,

All the practise,

Put into

One performance

The hateful fear

Of not achieving

Your goal,

Not meeting the

Puts you,

In a place

Where you can’t think,

Or feel

But you know,

That with every step you take,

You are moving

With grace,

And beauty

War of Two Sides

warI rode across the battlefield,

For cannons volleyed past

And cries of pain, they echoed with

Grieving words of men-their last

Gunshots sounded through the land

And voices roared together

As the bravest of men, they charged into war

As I rode on forever

Bodies, supported by only the force of duty

They fell, and then were passed

Into those spheres where spirited souls meet

Regardless of earthly roles they complete

of whatever creed or caste

And as I rode, a thought came to me

Lives are lost, in wars of violence, however

I had a responsibility, that I fulfilled

As I rode on forever

Loyalty, companionship and trust combined

Builds friendship, a bridge that is hard to find

Takes time to build but seconds to break

Broken because of just one mistake

Acceptance, honesty and understanding one another

In times of need always being there for each other

Is a relationship called friendship which dwells within the heart

A connection that must never break apart.
